Making Strides

The Eye-Catching ElliptiGo Bike Offers Low Impact Exercise

Elliptical machines are standard exercise equipment at most gyms, boasting the movements of running without the hard impact on knees. One downside to elliptical machines, like all indoor gym equipment, is the lack of changing scenery and spirit of exploration. Thanks to a new bicycle, the ElliptiGo, this downside is no longer an issue. Modeled after standard elliptical machines, the ElliptiGo offers the fun and adventure of outdoor cycling with the spirit of running.
As of this summer, Oak Park and local residents can give this funky new bicycle a try without having to find the money and space for one of their own. Greenline Wheels, located in the Pleasant District, has added an ElliptiGo to their offering of bicycles available for rent.

“This is a great addition for our customers who rent bikes for exercise. My 45 minute session on the Elliptigo took me to the Buzz Cafe and back,“ explained Tom Olis, managing partner of Greenline Wheels. “It was a fun ride and a great workout, our exercise buffs are going to love it."

Cost to rent the bike is only $10 per hour and includes use of a helmet. Reservations are encouraged but not required, and may be made either by phone, 708-725-7170, or online at www.GreenlineWheels.com.
